Terms of Service

1. About Curtn
Curtn (“Curtn”, “we”, “us”) provides a platform where digital creators upload files, send secure preview links to clients, collect approvals, take payment, and deliver final assets. By creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use Curtn.
2. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Curtn. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, for keeping credentials safe, and for any activity by clients you invite. You must give us accurate information (name, email, billing).
3. Your content
You retain ownership of everything you upload (video, images, docs, notes). You grant Curtn a non-exclusive licence to host, transcode, watermark, transmit, and display your content solely so we can operate the service on your behalf. We don’t use your content to train AI or promote our product without your written consent. You must have the rights to everything you upload. Don’t upload content that infringes copyright, is illegal, contains malware, or violates a person’s privacy.
4. Payments & fees
When a client pays you through Curtn, funds flow through our payment processor to your connected payment account. Curtn does not hold client funds on your behalf. Curtn charges creators a monthly platform fee based on successfully paid deliveries; the current rate is shown on your billing page and may change on 30 days’ notice. Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes between creators and their clients are the creator’s responsibility. Curtn may deduct chargeback fees passed on by our payment processor.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to (a) reverse-engineer or scrape the service, (b) resell access to Curtn, (c) attempt to bypass watermarking or paywalls, (d) upload CSAM, hate speech, or other unlawful content, or (e) use Curtn to harass any person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
6. Storage & availability
We store uploaded files with commercially reasonable durability but Curtn is not a backup service. Keep master copies of anything you can’t afford to lose. We may cap total storage or file size per plan and remove abandoned projects after extended inactivity with reasonable notice.
7. Third-party services
Curtn is built on Cloudflare R2 (storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Google (optional sign-in). Your use of those integrations is also subject to their terms.
8. Cancellation & data export
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing page. On cancellation you retain read-only access to projects for 30 days so you can export files, after which we may delete your data. You can request full deletion at any time by emailing us.
9. Disclaimers & liability
Curtn is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curtn’s aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law (including the Australian Consumer Law).
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Curtn after that means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes must be brought in the courts of Victoria unless applicable law says otherwise.
